Project Brief
In 2024, Sam’s KIDS (formerly The Delaware KIDS Fund) launched its first 5K under the new Sam’s KIDS brand at The Lighthouse in Dewey Beach. Sam’s KIDS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope and support to youth in Delaware through animal therapy and education, academic scholarships, nutrition programs, and essential resources like food and clothing.

In partnership with Fusion Racing and The Lighthouse Restaurant, KENNEDY Marketing. Events. Public Relations served as the event director for the Inaugural Sam’s KIDS 5K. Hosted at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center, the event raised $50,000 to support Sam’s KIDS’ youth-focused programs. Over 300 runners and walkers participated, coming together to honor the legacy of Sam Hanna and to make a difference in the lives of children in need across Delaware.
In 2023 – The Delaware KIDS Fund was renamed Sam’s KIDS in honor of Sam Hanna.
